About Matte Top Coat.. (And A Wintery Matte French Manicure)

I got this Matte top coat by OPI* for review, and I thought to my self - I already have the Essie - Matte about you that I bought a while ago, what could be any different about this one?. Well, It managed to surprise me because it was awesome!

First of all, The Formula - OPI Matte top coat is a lot less milky than the Essie one, and the whole formula is less thick and easier to work with. Secondly, OPI dries a lot quicker, and I mean a lot! I can't Imagine myself using Essie Matte about you again after I've tried this one by OPI. It is ten times better! 

I can't tell you anything about how long it is lasting but matte coats are not meant to extend how long the polish is lasting, they just help to create the matte finish. If I want the manicure to last long what I do id first put on a regular top coat like Seche Vite, and then after it dries I apply the matte one. That way you can get both effects - long lasting and beautifull matte finish for your polish. 

For this post's mani I created a Matte French Manicure! 

The base color I applied two coats of this cream dark burgundy purple by wow cosmetics 313. I think this is such a gorgeous color for winter and it really looks great with a matte finish. Then I applied OPI Matte top coat just on the tip. I actually did not move the brush from one side of the nail to the other, I held the brush still and turned my finger. I find it easier and less "shaky" to do a french tip this way.

כאשר קיבלתי את הטופ מאט של OPI* לסקירה,  חשבתי לעצמי - יש לי כבר טופ מאט של אסי בשם Essie - Matte about you שרכשתי בסופר פארם, עד כמה המוצר הזה כבר יכול להיות שונה ממנו?. אז מסתבר, שהמון! הוא הפתיע אותי ממש לטובה והוא פשוט אדיר! 

תחילה, אציין את הפורמולה, של OPI הרבה פחות חלבית מאשר הפורמולה של אסי, ובכלל הפורמולה הרבה יותר נוחה לעבודה. שנית, OPI מתייבש משמעותית מהר יותר מאסי, ההבדל הוא עצום. עם אסי חיכיתי יחסית הרבה זמן שיתייבש ופה באמת שתוך 5 דקות הכל היה יבש לחלוטין. אני לא מצליחה לדמיין את עצמי משתמשת שוב בטופ של אסי אחרי שניסיתי את של OPI. הוא הרבה יותר מוצלח! 

אני לא יכולה לתת חוות דעת על העמידות של הלק עם הטופ הזה כי לא בדקתי אותה, אבל למיטב הבנתי טופ מאט לא אמור להאריך עמידות כמו שחלק מטופים אחרים מבטיחים לעשות, אלא פשוט להעניק את הגימור המאט. הטיפ שלי להאריך עמידות הוא פשוט למרוח טופ רגיל, ולאחר הייבוש למרוח את הטופ מאט לגימור. ככה תקבלו את שני האפקטים - עמידות וגימור מאט! 

לפוסט הזה יצרתי מניקור פרנץ' מאט. הלק ששמתי בבסיס הוא Wow Cosmetics 313, שהוא לק קרמי בגוון סגול בורגונדי כהה. אני חושבת שזה צבע נהדר לחורף וכן שנראה מעולה עם גימור מאט, מדגיש את המראה ויוצר לוק מאוד קלאסי ויפה. אז כצפוי, מרחתי מעל על הטופ מאט של OPI. למעשה לא מרחתי את זה על ידי העברת המברשת מצד לצד, אלא השארתי את המברשת במקום וסובבתי את האצבע עצמה. אני חושבת שיותר קל ליצור ככה קו ישר ובלי רעידות. 

אז זהו להיום! מקווה שנהנתן מהפוסט ותודה שקראתן, ואני אשמח לשמוע על ההתנסות שלכן עם טופ מאט, של החברות שציינתי או אחרות (אני יודעת שיש אחד של שיק שלא הזדמן לי לנסות עדיין..)

Moon Sugar Decals Review + Giveaway!

This lovely delicate manicure was created with Moon Sugar water decals. I must admit, this is only my second time using water decals ever (!!) and the first time feeling confident enough to put it up on the blog. I did have to look up tutorials, and I knew it's suppose to be easy to use from posts & tutorials I've seen before. So after watching these two videos (1) (2), I was ready to try it myself. 

On my first try I didn't do so well, because I put on the decals the other way round, but on my second try I got it right. I was a bit worried about using decals, but I really like them now! I'm looking forward to try more of these. 

So these are the water decals* that I used. The base polish is Wow Cosmetics 440, just a creamy nude polish. And the hearts stamp on the pinky & index finger is from DRK-A stamping plate.  

את המניקור המקסים והעדין הזה יצרתי באמצעות קעקועי מים של Moon Sugar Decals. אני חייבת להודות שזוהי רק הפעם השניה (!!) שאני משתמשת בקעקועי מים, והפעם הראשונה שאני מרגישה בטוחה מספיק על מנת לשתף את התוצאה בבלוג. לפני שניסיתי בעצמי, הייתי צריכה להסתכל קצת במדריכים, וידעתי שהשימוש בהם אמור להיות פשוט מפוסטים ומדריכים שקראתי בעבר. אז לאחר שצפיתי בשני המדריכים האלו (1) (2), הייתי מוכנה לנסות בעצמי.

אני השתמשתי במניקור בקעקועי מים האלו בצורת לב. לק הבסיס הוא של וואו מס' 440, לק קרמי בצבע ניוד. וחותמת הלבבות על האצבע והזרת היא מהדיסקית DRK-A.

Well Although I will have in this post swatches, they are only on a nail wheel, and I so intend to do a full swatch session for these, so that's why I call this a snippet :)

I actually finished every drop of Acetone in my house and manged to finish all the cotton balls this weekend at a swatch marathon that I did (stay tuned for the post soon!). So I had to go and get more. I went to Wow Cosmetics which is a local cosmetics store here in Israel, and ran into these beautiful glitters!

טוב, אז הפוסט של היום נחשב פוסט קצרצר שכזה. למרות שיש לי כאן סווצ'ים של הלקים שאדבר עליהם, זה רק סווצ'ים על גלגל, ואני כן מתכוונת לעשות סווצ'ים מלאים ללקים האלו שבוע הבא. :) 

הסיפור מתחיל בזה שבסופ"ש הצלחתי לסיים את כל האציטון וכללל הצמר גפן שהיה לי בבית, תוך כדי מרתון סווצ'ים שעשיתי (הפוסט יעלה בימים הקרובים אז יש למה לחכות:) ). הייתי חייבת כמובן ללכת לחדש את המלאי, ו"וואו" זוהי החנות שאני בד"כ קונה בה את הדברים הללו. באתי מאוד ממוקדת מטרה ולא רציתי לקנות שום דבר אחר, אבל אמרתי לעצמי "אני רק אציץ בסטנד לקים לראות אם במקרה הביאו משהו חדש". איך אני שמחה שהחלטתי לעשות זאת - כך נתקלתי ב-6 גליטרים חדשים שוואו הוציאו. לא ראיתי על כך שום פרסום בדף הפייסבוק שלהם כך שעוד יותר הופתעתי. ראיתי סכ"ה שישה גוונים וכמובן שהייתי חייבת לרכוש לעצמי חלק כי במחיר כזה (7.99 ש"ח ללק) קשה להתאפק! 

I purchased four of the glitters that I saw, mint green (317), purple (368), pink (315) & red (353). They all have hexagons & small glitters in their colors and in white. The base color is see though. 

אני רכשתי לעצמי ארבעה גוונים - ירוק מנטה-טורקיז (317), סגול (368), ורוד (315), ואחרים חביב אדום (353). כולם מורכבים מגליטרים משושים וכן גם נצנצים עגולים קטנים בצבע הייחודי ללק וכן בגליטרים לבנים באותם גדלים. הבסיס הוא שקוף. 

All together I saw 6 glitters, but I didn't get the other two because they are very similar to polishes that I have already. On of them is a dupe for sticks n' stones (314). The other is a black & white "feather" polish, similar to Sally Hansen collection, Barry M, and others. 

סכ"ה ראיתי בחנות שישה גליטרים, אבל שניים מהם לא רכשתי מכיוון שיש לי כבר דברים דומים. אבל באמת שהמחיר מעולה ואם לא היה לי כבר משהו ממש ממש דומה הייתי רוכשת גם אותם. אז שני הלקים הנוספים מורכבים מגליטרים שחור לבן. הראשון הוא דיופ ל - sticks n' stones המפורסם, ומורבים מגליטרים משושים ועגולים בצבעים שחור ולבן, מספרו הוא 314. והלק הנוסף הוא לק בסנון הנוצות שראינו לאחרונה אצל סאלי הנסן, בארי אם וחברות נוספות. גם הוא שחור ולבן ומספרו 310.

אני מאוד מתרגשת כל פעם למצוא לקים יותר טרנדיים של חברות ישראליות, ובמחיר כזה זה בכלל כיף. אני חייבת לציין את וואו לטובה שהוציאו לק קונפטי, ועכשיו מוציאים עוד 6 גליטרים מהממים. באמת ששיחקו אותי. שרק ימשיכו ככה! :) תודה רבה שקראתן ושיהיה לכן המשך ערב נהדר :) 

Cats Nails ~ Mew ^^

Well, it's obvious that I like cats :) I wanted to create another manicure with this stamp for a long time now (see the first mani with this cat stamp here). I like this stamp sooo much! I have 2 cats, and there's the cat in my parents house, I have a cat scarf, bag, shirt...... Anyone said obsession? LOL. 

Anyway, the base polishes that I used are by Wow cosmetics, black (393) & taupe (440). The black one is amazing, only one coat for full coverage. But it makes a bit of a mess when you're taking it off. 

The polishes that I stamped with are Konad & Moyou. And the gorgeous cats design is from DRK-A Stamping plate.

אז, זה דיי ברור שאני חולה על חתולים :) רציתי ליצור מניקור נוסף עם החותמת הזו כבר הרבה זמן (תוכלו לראות כאן את המניקור הראשון עם החותמת הזו). אני כ"כ אוהבת את החותמת הזו! אגזים ואומר שזו הסיבה המרכזית שרכשתי את הדסקה DRK-A. יש לי 2 חתולים בבית, ויש את חתולה אצל ההורים שלי, יש לי צעיף חתולים, תיק, חולצה.... מישהו אמר.... אובססיה קלה?! חח. 

בכל אופן, הלקים בבסיס העיצוב עם של וואו, שחור (393) וחום אפרפר (440). השחור פשוט מעולה, הוא נותן כיסוי מלא בשכבה אחת בלבד, מה שכן כשמורידים אותו הוא טיפה מלכלך. הלקים שהשתמשתי בהם להחתים הם של חברת קונאד וחברה בשם Moyou. ודוגמת החתולים היא מדיסקית DRK-A שהזמנתי מכאן.

אז... מה דעתכן? אתן מאוהבות הדוגמא הזאת כמוני?. תודה שביקרתן ושיהיה המשך יום נפלא. 

31DC2013 Day 23 - Inspired by a Movie

I think it's pretty obvious what movie I chose! :) 

For my X-men Manicure, I used Wow Cosmetics black nail polish. On my middle finger I drew with Sally Hansen Silver nail art pen, on my thumb I used BeautyCare polish num' 15. 

And on mu ring finger, I used Barry M - Silver Foil with striping tape to create wolverine's claws. I topped everything with Essie Matte about you top coat, for a leather look.  

31DC2013 Day 18 - Half Moons

Just lately I discovered how much I love this design, and I was glad for the opportunity to try it again :)
I was actually inspired by Rihanna. I was looking pictures of her nail designs for nail designs forum.
I saw this design and it got me inspired and I wanted to try something similar since.
I love a great this looks, it's so classic and sophisticated and simple which is the best part.

The base color is Inglot 331, which I must say, after trying it more than once - I'm not a fan of it's formulla at all! But it is a perfect shade of pink so I got to love it.

31DC2013 Day 9 - Rainbow

Quick post -
The black polish is by Wow Cosmetics number 393. This black is so opaque I used only one coat. I love it!
The sequins are from bornprettystore. I applied these with a dotting tool, as seen in this tutorial.

Wow Nail polish Remover; מסיר לק של וואו

את הטרנד הנוכחי של מסיר לק בתוך בקבוקון קטן יצא לנו כבר לראות של כמה חברות, וגם וואו הוציאו גרסה משלהם למסיר לק ריחני*. הקונספט פשוט - מכניסים את האצבע לתוך הספוג, מסובבים, והלק יורד. פשוט ונוח להפליא! 

אני מודה שלא ניסיתי עם לקים גליטרים, אלא רק עם לק קרמי. שמעתי בנות אחרות שהשתמשו והיו מרוצות. 

צריך לסובב כמה פעמים על מנת שהלק ירד, ועדיין מצאתי שכדי שהכל ירד לחלוטין צריך כן לעבור על בסיס הציפורן שקרוב לקיוטיקלס עם אציטון. 

אני משתמשת באופן קבוע באציטון שאותו גם כן קונה בוואו בקבוקים של חצי ליטר ב-15 ש"ח בערך, ולא במסיר לק מה שכנראה מייבש לי את העור. אבל מסירי לק הם כל כך מעייפים! צריך לעבוד איתם קשה מדי לדעתי. אני מודה שהופתעתי לטובה. זה פעם ראשונה שאני מנסה מוצר בסגנון, והסיבה שלא קניתי עד כה כי הייתה לי תחושה שאתאכזב. שוב, איני יודעת מה טיב המוצר הדומה בחברות מקבילות אבל מהמוצר של וואו אני מאוד מרוצה! 

האם יצא לכן לנסות מסיר לק דומה עם לקים גליטרים? אם כן אשמח לשמוע התרשמותכן! 

We've seen this trend of nail polish removers in a small bottle with a sponge, by few other companies before. And now wow cosmetics also produces a version or this product*. The concept is simple, you put your finger in the sponge, twist, and your polish is gone! 

I admit I didn't try it yet with glitters, only with creams and it works fine. I heard feedback's from girls that did use it with glitters and that it worked fine as well. You do have to twist a few times for the polish to be removed completely and even then I had to go through the cuticles with acetone for tiny tiny leftovers. 

I use acetone on a regular basis because I find nail polish removers so frustrating! you have to work so hard, and acetone is so fast and convenient. For that reason I didn't try this product before, I was afraid to be disappointed again. But I am glad to receive it and intend to keep using it!

Wow Cosmetics 318 - Neon Pink

Today I'm wearing a Wow Cosmetics polish 318*, a beautiful neon pink. I already have two other neon polishes by this brand, and I was glad to receive another one. It is just perfect for summer. I still can't decide if I like to wear it also in my feet! :) Still debating on that.... 

Anyway, I used this opportunity to check if it will look better on top of a white polish, so in all the pictures in this post I'm wearing 2 layers of this polish on top of a white base on the pinky and the ring finger. And on the middle & index finger 3 coats without a white base. 

I don't know about you but I don't see much of a difference. The last picture is taken in direct sunlight so you can notice the difference more. On top of the white base it looks a little bit more pink. I don't think I would bother with these neon's to put any white base, I just don't see the point. 

בתמונות בפוסט מרחתי לק ניאוני ורוד של וואו - מס' 318*. כבר יש לי שני לקים ניאונים אחרים של וואו, ומאוד שמחתי לקבל אחד נוסף, הגוון פשוט נהדר לקיץ - וכמו שרואים בפוסטים, אני לחלוטין באווירת קיץ עדיין.  עוד לא החלטתי אם זה ייראה טוב על הרגלים או לא... :) 

בכל אופן, חשבתי שזאת הזדמנות נהדרת לבדוק האם אכן לקים ניאונים נראים טוב יותר מעל בסיס לבן או לא. אז למעשה בשלוש התמונות בפוסט, על הזרת והקמיצה מרחתי 2 שכבות של הלק וואו, מעל בסיס לבן. ובאמה ובאצבע מרחתי 3 שכבות ללא בסיס לבן. 

אני לא יודעת אם אתן כן רואות הבדל, אני לא מצליחה לראות הבדל משמעותי כלל. רק בתמונה האחרונה שצולמה באור שמש ישיר רואים הבדל בגוון, מעל הבסיס הלבן הגוון הוא יותר ורדרד לעומת גוון שהוא יותר אדמדם. אני לא חושבת שבעתיד אטרח למרוח לק לבן כבסיס, פשוט לא רואה את הטעם :).

Review: Wow Cosmetics Nail Stickers; סקירה: מדבקות לציפורניים של וואו

זוהי הפעם הראשונה שיוצא לי להתנסות במדבקות לציפורניים*, וזה ממש נחמד. יוצא עיצוב יפה, בלי הרבה מאמץ. אני לא יכולה להשוות למדבקות אחרות לציפורניים מכיוון שלא ניסיתי, אבל אני חושבת שהמדבקות האלו של וואו טובות, במיוחד ביחס למחיר האטרקטיבי.

הערה קטנה לגבי השימוש - צריך להיזהר כאשר מקלפים את המדבקה מן השקף שלא תתקפל. אני חושבת שאפשר לראות את זה טיפה בתמונה בקמיצה שהקצה של הסרט טיפה מקופל כלפיי מעלה. זה לא מאוד בולט אבל קצת גורע מהעמידות. ההסרה של המדבקות דורשת טיפה יותר מאמץ, אבל זה עדין לא יותר נורא מגליטר ;). 

הלקים שהשתמשתי בהם בבסיס הם Zoya - Lara ו- KIKO 376. מעל מרחתי שכבה עבה של המייבש Seche Vite.  

Today I have a review for you of nail stickers by wow cosmetics*. It is an Israeli company which you can see a lot in my blog :) And this is the first time I tried their stickers. If you like the concept I think they are quite good, especially for their price. 

The two pink creams that I used are Zoya Lara & KIKO 376.

Pastel Spatter Mani

This is my first time doing a splatter manicure! I did this for Sophie's splatter mani competition, and I'm really glad with the result. I decided to use delicate pastels for this one. 

2 coats of Wow Cosmetics 440 for the base, and for the splatter I used Mua - pistachio ice cream, Seche - Dainty Decadence & Seche - Prim & Polished. You can see the video tutorial here.

זו הפעם הראשונה שאני עושה מניקור Splatter! עשיתי את זה בשביל תחרות בבלוג של סופי, ואני דיי מרוצה מהתוצאה. החלטתי להשתמש בגוונים עדינים פסטליים לשיטה הזו. 

השתמשתי כאן בשתי שכבות של וואו מס' 440 כבסיס, ובשביל ה- Splatter השתמשתי ב-3 גוונים פסטליים Mua - pistachio ice cream, Seche - Dainty Decadence & Seche - Prim & Polished. תוכלו לצפות במדריך הוידיאו שהתמשתי בו כאן.

Pearls

For this design I applies 2 coats of Gade 277 - Bright Champagne. 

On the ring finger & the thumb I added a glitter to create a glitter gradient, Revlon 261 - Sparkling.

I added the *Pearls by Wow Cosmetics on top of the three other fingers, and added a thick layer of Seche Vite top coat. 

A day after I took these pictures the nail in my index finger broke =( Atlist I managed to take these pictures... Did you like the pearls? I'd love to hear your comments. 

בעיצוב הזה מרחתי בבסיס 2 שכבות של Gade 277 - Bright Champagne. 

על הקמיצה והאגודל הוספתי גליטר כדי ליצור גליטר גרדיאנט, עם Revlon 261 - Sparkling. 

על האצבעות האחרות, הוספתי *פנינים של וואו, ומעל מרחתי שכבה עבה של המייבש Seche Vite.
